Located in the place of a former cosy pub, in the Quiet Centre district of Riga a trendy wine bar/restaurant/shop “VinoMeter” taking its place and one more place in the long list of wine-bars that opened in Riga over 2011/2012 period.
As you can get probably from its name, the main speciality of course is wine. The wine that you can try at the bar, or the one that you can buy in the shop and take back with you home. However, together with some fine wines, they serve food down there too. Menu begins with starters like “antipasti” or “fried scallops”, moving on to some serious dishes like “oyster prosecco risotto” and “salt encrusted rainbow trout”. They also have a take-away service, meaning that you can get your food ordered to take home. Daily specials for food and drinks are available on site and are all listen on the blackboard right behind the counter.
Interior of “WinoMetr” is also very cosy, especially with some dimmed lights in the evening, making it a perfect place to bring a date and enjoy time with a either on a comfortable couch in the front, or sharing a table in a relaxed atmosphere in the
