Latvian Sports Museum is a rather small venue, housed in a historic medieval building and follows the development of sport in Latvia from the late 19th century when cycling, swimming and wrestling were at their peak to the current days when hockey and other winter activities became popular in Latvia.
Once there, check out various black and white photos, old medals, posters from the 1930s and some interesting exhibits like enormous (men’s US 21/EU 58) basketball shoes of the world champion Uljana Semjonova (USSR female squad) . On the second floor you will also find an excellent color photo exhibition.
