Come and find out about the rail history of Latvia in this museum run by Latvian Railways (Latvijas Dzelzcejs). Inside the brick hangar you will find a lot of old photographs, antiquated machines and a few specimens of old wagons.
Outside you can observe various restored diesel and electric locomotives of Soviet times built in Ukraine and Russia, as well as a beautiful German locomotive built in 1942 that no doubt became a spoil of war.
Also, for those fans of history, don’t miss the Russian Tsar era prison car.
