Nizhny Novgorod Aerial Lift Cableway & Visit to Rukavishnikovs Estate Museum

The Nizhny Novgorod cable car is a cable car across the Volga, between Nizhny Novgorod and Bor. The main purpose is to provide an alternative type of passenger transportation in addition to river taxis, electric trains, and buses. The Nizhny Novgorod Cableway, among the cable cars used as public transport, is the largest in Europe (the length of the road is 3,661 meters with a difference in heights of 57 meters), the highest in Europe (the height of two pillars of 95 meters each), in addition, in the whole world there is no such unsupportable flight over the water surface – in 800 meters. The road is entered in the Guinness Book of Records.

Nizhny Novgorod State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve – Rukavishnikov Manor – an object of cultural heritage is an interesting monument of civil architecture of the last quarter of the 19th century. The mansion of the manor is built in the style of the Italian palazzo. The object of the show is the architectural features of the building, the artistic value of the interiors, the character, and richness of the finishes. During the excursion, the story of the famous house and its inhabitants will be told.
