A trip to the Star City, the Russian Space Center is a great weekend plan for you and your mates. During a fascinating tour you will visit the Museum of Cosmonautics and the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, where you will hear and see how the astronauts are selected and what are the stages of training for the future heroes of the cosmos before getting into orbit from prelaunch preparation for space flight to action after landing.
You can actually see the real analogues of spaceships and to assess the scale of special simulators, such as the giant 18 meter centrifuge of CF-18 or buoyancy – a huge pool that simulates weightlessness to practice spacewalks. Tour of the technical area of the Center includes the inspection of buoyancy, a large centrifuge hall simulators of the Soyuz TMA spacecraft. In the event of technical impossibility of visiting one of these sites, it is replaced by another one, such as room layout, the simulator of “Mir” station or room layout, trainer of the Russian segment of the International Space Station.
