The Mentzendorff’s House

For true fans of antiquity and history visiting this fascinating historical Mentzendorff’s House or “Mencendorfa Nams” in Latvian, that once belonged to a wealthy Riga merchant is a definite must do!

Inside you will find refurbished furniture in the 17th-18th century, various frescoes of that period and enjoy atmosphere of that time.

After taking the tour, you will find out how the rich-people lived 250 years ago, learn more about their apartments, as well as how did their servants live. You will visit dining, sleeping and communal areas, as well as the kitchen.

Guided tours are available in English, German and Russian for 10 EUR.
