Just Bar is one of the mainstream bars and clubs in the Old Town. Its proximity to hostels, as well as a free entrance and half-price drinks until 24.00 brings many people down there. During the working days “Just Bar” looks more of a bar/restaurant serving food and drinks at quite reasonable prices.
But Friday and Saturday nights “Just Bar” becomes a party place. Usually it hosts local DJs that play their sets, however music variety that is played there is closer to a cheesy “pop” and electro styles, so if you are a fan of something more alternative, then you’d rather pay a visit to “Pūce (The Owl)“, that is located nearby.
Prices for drinks are just over typical average prices in the Old Town. But bear in mind – until 12am they have a “buy one, get one free deal”. One of the best thing it has – massive summer-terrace that opens great views to the Daugava river.
Recently Just bar put itself on the “shame map” by having issues with letting foreign-people in, which in our opinion is unfair. However in most cases in Riga “the doorman is right” rule always works, so perhaps they have their own reasons for that.
