“Coyote Fly” Nightclub

If you’re here in Riga for the weekend and feel like moving your body to the rhythm of the night, it’s worth paying a visit to the city’s nightclub “Coyote Fly”.

We came to check it out after midnight on a Saturday – when it was already brimming with rhythm and heat. And because every weekend is in the “Coyote Fly” it’s dedicated to a special theme, ours was in honor of the Russian poet Pushkin, and we have to admit that on occasion in the early hours the huge state-of-the-art speakers beamed to the crowd several poems from his repertoire. This was amazing and very unusual for a nightclub.

The main hall inside is a decently sized dance space encircled by elevated seating and a spacious bar in the middle. There were two very cute go-go dancers perched atop a podium shaking their hips right behind the bar staff shaking their cocktails. The place was fairly packed with an international crowd on the night we went, but he service at the bar was quick, efficient and kind to us. The price for mixed spirits tend to be around €5 and beers around €3. Even though, the venue lacks a special room for smokers, it is allowed to smoke inside the main hall.

It was little difficult to find the space to make all our cool dance moves, but “Coyote Fly” nightclub is definitely a place to see and be seen. You can rise above the throng to the second floor to look down at the action and escape the crowd, but not the music. From here we observed that many dancers in this glamorous-looking crowd were well into their mid-thirties at least.
Rounding and summing things up: the music was great, the sound and the lights impressive, the service attentive – we will and definitely would recommend others to go for more. See you there folks!
